Jeannie Mai: It has nothing to do with race, everything to do with integrity

The Asian-American ‘Wearapist’ has made a name for herself as a fashion stylist and says it’s all about passion and hard work

The 32-year-old Asian American has made a name for herself as a 'Wearapist', weaving fashion as a form of therapy with the power to enhance moods and lift spirits.

Mai started her career as a MAC makeup artist before moving into fashion and eventually hosting 'How Do I Look?' on American channel Style Network.

Now, she's part of Hollywood's glam team on DIVA Universal's 'Fashion Star', working alongside the show's host Elle Macpherson and its panel of celebrities like designer John Varvatos, pop icon Jessica Simpson and boho fashionista Nicole Richie.

Mai is 'Fashion Star's' digital correspondent, giving fans real-time insights from behind the scenes plus fashion tips via social networks.

Fashion Star airs every Monday at 9:30pm only on DIVA Universal (Astro Channel 702)
