The most talked about book of the year is still flying off the shelves in its millions, with women worldwide fantasying about their ideal Christian Grey (no pressure for the casting team then...). With the movie adaptation confirmed, the speculation about who will play the kinky billionaire is on everybody's lips!

Yet who will take the role of the innocent Anastasia Steele? The latest actress to be linked to the role is Gossip Girl's Katie Cassidy. However, while Katie is this week's frontrunner for the role of Miss Steele, it has been suggested she might be better suited for the role of her best friend, Katherine Kavanagh.

With many actors and actresses showing their interest in the role, this looks set to be one of the most fought-over roles in Hollywood! Let's hope Cassidy is willing to fight some heavy competition as she goes head-to-head with some of the biggest female names in showbiz!

Scroll through to see what stars are rumoured to steal the roles in the 50 Shades of Grey movie!
