Singer Demi Lovato's estranged father Patrick recently made a plea to his daughter through gossip site Radar Online for her to call him. The elder Lovato, who left Demi and her mother when his daughter was just two-years-old, was facing surgery for the removal of a throat tumour. But given the angry lyrics to Lovato's autobiographical song "For the Love of a Daughter," which appeared on last year's "Unbroken" album, we don't think Patrick should wait by the telephone: "I can be manipulated / Only so many times / Before even 'I love you' / Starts to sound like a lie."
