Malaysian stars Norman Hakim and Memey Suhaiza tied the knot in the most lavish local wedding of the year, costing a whopping RM12 million.
The groom wore a suit from Lords Tailor worth RM10,000 but it was really his bride who stole the show in her RM500,000 dress fitted with Rafflesia pearls and Jimmy Choo heels encrusted with more Rafflesia pearls. The couple clearly went all out with Rafflesia (or is it the other way 'round?) as even the wedding cake and cupcakes for guests were adorned with pearls.
Held at the Crowne Plaza Mutiara Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on September 28th, the grand ceremony was themed 'New York in black and white' and hosted by Winnie Sin, director of Rafflesia The Pearl Centre and designed by celebrity wedding planner Bill Bora.
Names on the star-studded guest list include Datuk Jimmy Choo, Chef Wan, Fauziah Latiff, Kilafairy, Marsha, Syafinaz, Sazzy Falak, Fazley Zainal, Dynas Mokhtar, Fizz Fairuz, Yasmin Hani, Sharifah Shahira, Didie Alias, and top Indonesian actor Samuel Rizal.
