You Only Live Twice
The fifth film in the Bond series, You Only Live Twice sees Bond fans introduced to Ernst Stavro Blofeld - played menacingly by Donald Pleasance - in the flesh in a screenplay by Roald Dahl (famous for his children's books and short stories) and directed by Lewis Gilbert. Also memorable for the incredible 400,000 GBP set for Blofeld's operational base, complete with the rocket launcher, helicopter landing pad and monorail to give it the camouflage of a crater lake and of course for 'Q's' invention 'Little Nellie' - a one man miniature helicopter used in some of the most exciting combat scenes during 007's reconnaissance flights over the Japanese Islands.
