American band Maroon 5 was a crowd-pleaser last Saturday night, when they performed at the Padang as the closing act of the second concert night of the Formula 1.
Concert-goers had already started clapping and cheering with enthusiasm, minutes before the group was about to take stage. People jostled and squeezed as they tried to vie for the best view to watch the performance.
Maroon 5, all decked in black t-shirts, appeared on stage at exactly 11pm, opening the night with their hit single ‘Payphone’.
Frontman Adam Levine proved why he is a judge on talent search programme The Voice, putting up a stellar performance during the one-hour plus show.
The crowd was especially pleased when Maroon 5 sang past hits including ‘She Will Be Loved’, ‘This Love’ and ‘Moves Like Jagger’.
