After her death was announced, hundred of fans gathered to pay their respects, leaving flowers and messages to the late singer. Many musical artists paid tribute to Winehouse including Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, George Michael and Adele. Amy Winehouse's parents also set up a new foundation in her name, to help those affected by drug and alcohol addiction to prevent the deaths of vulnerable young people.
One year on, the tragedy of Amy Winehouse's short life, marred by addictions, is still fresh for her die-hard fans and any lovers of her eclectic music.
