San Francisco’s favourite trio, Train performed at KL live last Saturday with an inspiring performance that melted the hearts of thousands.
Compared to your previous albums, the recent albums have more upbeat music. Is there any reason to this transition?
Pat: You know Scott and I have lived similar lives as far as some of the choices we made in our younger days and how that has taken us thru time. When I met my wife a few years ago, I realize that being happy was possible, so writing songs like "Drops of Jupiter" and "Calling All Angels" was kind of during an era where I was not feeling good. Even though we are successful and I can tour the world and make music, I was sad. Then I met my wife and it became possible to have joy. When you feel that way, you want to sing "Hey Soul Sister" not "Calling All Angels". You want to sing "Drive By" and upbeat love songs because that's what you feel.
