Neil Patrick Harris turns 39 this Friday (June 15th), so what better way to celebrate this legendary actor than with some of his best Barney Stinson lines from 'How I Met Your Mother'.

The actor, singer, director and occasional magician (yes, really) has made a name for himself since he first debuted as a child star. Neil even has a 1989 Golden Globe nomination for his starring role as 'Doogie Howser M.D.'; the dude has been around for much longer than you think.

Neil kept himself busy before taking on the role of Barney Stinson in 'How I Met Your Mother'; Broadway, voiceovers and his memorable parts in 'Harold & Kumar go to White Castle' and 'Escape from Guatanamo Bay' as a coked up version of himself made sure he never faded into oblivion after playing the kid doctor.

He has also done voice over for the likes of "Justice League: The New Frontier", "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore".

In 2005, Neil landed a role as the suit wearing womaniser, Barney Stinson, in "How I Met Your Mother". Neil's character has been received really well by critics and has been credited for the show's success, turning Neil Patrick Harris into the icon he is today.
