The 26 year old performed in Kuala Lumpur with 2000 fans singing along to her hit singles
Singer, songwriter and musician, Christina Perri performed a showcase at KL live last night, with an energetic set that left the crowd wanting more.
The 26 year old Philadelphia-born performer first made a name for herself with one of radio's most notably single, 'Jar Of Hearts', followed by the highly popular soundtrack of the 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn', 'A Thousand Years'.
It didn't take long before Christina graced the 2000 attendees with her presence on stage by opening up with the extremely catchy track, 'Bang Bang Bang' followed by 'Black+Blue' and her latest single, 'Distance'. Then it was the slower part of the showcase where Christina performed songs like 'My Eyes' and 'Bluebird'. She even did a cover of The Ronettes' 'Be My Baby'.
A big surprise came when Christina brought out two special friends on stage. Christina invited Tim and Audrey up on stage and sang 'A Thousand Years' for them. In case you didn't know, Tim was the man who made the MEME proposal video to Audrey which went viral on the internet and contained Christina's 'A Thousand Years' as the soundtrack. Christina actually watched the video and said it made her cry.
The second half of the showcase was followed by songs like 'Run', 'The Lonely', the singles 'Jar of Hearts' and 'Tragedy' and ended with the song, 'Arms'. Christina and the band took a final bow before giving out roses to the crowd.
All on all, the sound was good, Christina's voice was really amazing and the band was wonderful; the female bassist was actually rocking out with high heels on. It was a showcase better than expected. For those who missed out on this showcase, let's hope Christina comes back promoting her second album.
