The bubbly English singer had a whirlwind stop in Kuala Lumpur – she went shopping with a lucky MSN reader, performed a showcase AND had an exclusive chat with us on what’s new.
Your K-pop collaboration with GD and Top (from Bigbang) caused quite a stir. How did that come about? Which other Korean artistes would you like to work with?
Pixie: It came about because I heard abut K-pop when I was in Japan. I really like Bigbang and Girls' Generation. I had this song about two years ago, and my manager came into contact with them. They sent me their version and I loved it! It was just in time for my Asian Deluxe album so we managed to put it on there.
In the future, I would love to work more with Asian artistes like Girls' Generation. Last year, I wrote a song called 'Heartbreak on the Dancefloor' and they recorded a version of it, so hopefully it will go on their album. Recently, while I was in Korea, I heard they did a cover of my song on a TV show, so I felt very happy and very honored.
