Golden Awards 2010 - Winners circle
Deserving actors and actresses were crowned winners at the Golden Awards 2010 held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre on Sunday (26.09.2010).

The 2010 Golden Awards - Malaysia's first-ever Chinese television awards show - awarded its winners at an exclusive ceremony held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on on Sunday (26.09.2010).
Presented by local station ntv7, a total of 19 awards were awarded at the country's most prestigious and recognised awards show in the Malaysian Chinese television industry. The Awards recognises the outstanding work of those who have contributed tirelessly in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes, bringing the Malaysian industry to higher standards and recognition from its regional and worldwide peers.
This prestigious awards show was spread out over a variety of categories, but spotlight was put on the "Best Actor", "Best Actress", and "Best Drama" categories. After months of steep competition, "The Iron Lady" is named as Best Drama, while Melvin Sia (Romantic Delicacies) and Yeo Yann Yann (The Iron Lady) takes home the title for Best Actor and Best Actress.
Other anticipated awards in the Drama Category for the night were Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Newcomer, clinched by Ernest Chong (My Kampong Days), Seck Fook Yee (The Iron Lady), and Yise Loo (Goodnight DJ) respectively.
Amongst the winners under the Non-drama Category were - Owen Yap (Best Current Affairs Host AND Best Variety & Entertainment Programme Host), Chan Wei Wei (Best Magazine Programme Host), and Cheryl Lee (Best Reality Programme Host).
Meanwhile, Melvin Sia and Debbie Goh were both surprised to be voted as the Most Popular Actor and Most Popular Actress in Viewers' Choice Category award that night. Viewers also voted for "The Iron Lady" as the Most Popular Drama.
Malaysia's veteran actress, Lai Meng was also honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Awards in the inaugural of Golden Awards for her stellar work for the past 50 years. The 83-year-old who remains one of the most popular Chinese artiste in the country received roaring applauds and standing ovation from the audiences during her thank you speech.
Aside from the prestigious gold-plated Golden Awards trophy, winners in all 19 sub-categories were rewarded with RM5,000 each.
