Chow Yun-fat and Liu Ye lead film on Mao Zedong
Huge stellar cast including Fan Bingbing and John Woo on new propaganda movie about the founding of the Communist Party of China.
Some of the biggest names in Chinese film are leading the new propaganda film "Beginning of the Great Revival" that celebrates the Communist Party's 90th anniversary.
Chow Yun-fat, Fan Bingbing, Liu Ye and John Woo were on the red carpet on Wednesday (June 4th) and spoke to the press about the film. Liu Ye plays Mao Zedong, found of the People's Republic of China.
With the ban of screening Hollywood movies in Chinese cinemas, "Beginning of the Great Revival" is expected to do exceptionally well when it opens across China, drawing 300 million people this summer.
