FINAL DESTINATION
What it's about: The very gory Final Destination franchise has managed to gather a cult following since the first of the series came out in 2000. All center around three themes: determinism, predestination, and precognition in relation to death. Each movie finds a group of people gathered at an event when one of them has a premonition of a deathly disaster. With these newfound powers, a cat-and-mouse game ensues as the newly psychic hero/ heroine tries to prevent death from befalling those around them.
Why we love it: We place our money on two things: the sheer gore rampant throughout the film and the nail-biting suspense leading up to the death of the characters. Admit it, we all want to know how that next person is going to die, right?
Keep it or kill it: Unless they run out of creative ways to kill the characters, we say keep it. Who doesn't love a bit of gore now and then?
