(Relaxnews) - NBC Universal's CEO announced his intention to bank on the studio's latest hits, The Bourne Legacy and Ted, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In a recent talk at a conference in Los Angeles, CEO Steve Burke announced plans for the future of Universal Studios. Burke hopes to add other film franchises to Fast and Furious, which is getting a sixth chapter scheduled to hit theaters in May 2013.

The Bourne Legacy will get several follow-ups based on the new lead character Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner).

Seth McFarlane's Ted is also getting a sequel "as soon as we can," announced Burke. The comedy starring Mark Wahlberg and his foul-mouthed dope-smoking teddy bear has already grossed $395M on a budget of $50 million, which provides a clear incentive for a follow-up.
