The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast from the Staples Center arena at L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles. Watch out for performances from Alicia Keys and One Direction and presenters Miley Cyrus, The Wanted, Ke$ha, Katy Perry and more!

The awards show, which will take place on 6 September 2012, will be hosted by American actor and stand-up comedian Kevin Hart and will honour the best videos from the previous year.
